Grade 1, produced in Fujian, Organic Oolong Tea
One of China’s ten famous teas! According to legend, a poor farmer
named Wei Yin took it upon himself to care for a dilapidated ruin that
was once a shrine to the Bodhisattva Kwan Yin. Unable to spend any
money on restoration, Wei Yin did the best he could and cleaned the
temple thoroughly and burned incense. One night in a dream, Kwan Yin
appeared and told Wei Yin that she had left him a gift that he was to
share with others in honor of his devotion. The next day, Wei Yin
discovered a small tea tree growing near the temple which produced the
most wonderful cup of tea he had ever tasted. He dedicated this
varietal to her. Arguably the premiere oolong varietal, this
extraordinary tea is not to be missed!
