Product Description

ItchoverTM (Zhi Yang Wan, Zhi Yang Pian, 止痒丸), is a Chinese herbal remedy specially formulated to help clear wind heat to maintain a smooth skin. The Chinese herb may be used for skin itch and eczema.

Functions:
Itch, or pruritus in the medical term, is a skin sensation that prompts the desire to scratch. Itch is a common issue that is resolved mostly in a short period. But it can be persistent and recurring and affects the quality of life. Itch may occur all over the body or in local areas like the genital area. Many diverse causes may trigger itching, for example, stress, anxiety, dry skin, insect bites, infections of yeast or parasites, liver disease, diabetes, shingles, eczema, or even the season like summer and winter. Antihistamines like Benadryl and anti-itch creams and lotions are often used to relieve itch.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), itching is a manifest of excessive Wind in the body and often associated with Heat or Dampness. The underlying cause is usually the deficiency of the Blood, which leads to the malnutrition of the skin, and the hyperactivity of the Liver, which promotes the generation of internal Wind.

Therefore, a main TCM approach to alleviate itch is to dispel Wind, clear Heat, nourish Blood, and dry Dampness. ItchoverTM is our signature formula that follows the TCM principle. The Chinese herbal remedy is indicated for itching or eczema that exhibit the TCM pattern of blood weakness, wind, heat, and dampness and consists of an unique combination of Chinese herbs as detailed below.

Wu Shao She (black striped snake) is a medicinal snake that is known in TCM for itch relief. The Chinese herb expels wind, unblock the collaterals, and calms fright.
She Chuang Zi (Cnidium fruit/seed) is a well known Chinese herb for itch relief. It is bitter and warm in nature. The Chinese herb drains dampness, dispels wind, suppresses parasites, and stops itching. She Chuang Zi also warms the Kidneys and is used in male impotence and female infertility in TCM.
Fang Feng (Siler root) dispels wind and releases the exterior, drains dampness and stops pain. The Chinese herb is often used for eczema and itch.
Cang Zhu (Atractylodes rhizome) has a strong property in removing dampness. It also strengthens the spleen (digestive function) and dispels wind and cold.
Ku Shen (Sophora root) clears heat, dries dampness, kills parasites, and stops itching.
Mu Dan Pi (Poeny bark) clears heat and cools the blood.
Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis root) is a well known Chinese herb that both nourishes and moves the blood.
